my background
I have been doing photography for around 8 years but actively running my business for 4 years in Kansas. I've placed as a finalist twice in the Shoot And Share contest (over 500,000 photos submitted). I've been feature in the Open Lens magazine, Color Shot magazine, and the SMAL presets blog. I've always been drawn towards natural light photography. Having a family of my own has made me appreciate and love documenting families and life.
Before, during, & after session
Great, your ready to book! Simply head over to my contact page or message me on my social media accounts. Now it's time to start planning outfits. I now have a client closet available to help make planning a little easier on you. If you have any questions about putting outfits together feel free to message me. During your session, I have a list of poses I typically like to get with each family, and I'm also open to any request you may have as well. Throughout your session you may see me stop and snap a few pictures of the kids playing around us. Two weeks after your session your gallery will be ready for you to view and download your images.
my goal
Ultimately I strive for a stress free, easy going experience for you and your family. I am not one that is into formal settings. You will find me being goofy and making you laugh. I try to gain an understanding of what you would like out of your session before we get started. During the session I try to keep things fairly natural, but provide poses and prompts to help guide you. If kiddos are having a hard time I will let them have their time to calm down and we can move onto something new. By doing this we can usually distract them and get them into a fun interactive pose when they are ready. Overall, I want to capture the love and excitement your family has for one another.

lifestyle
If you are looking for a relaxed less staged style session this is the one for you. This session takes place in the home. We typically shoot mid day or at a time you get the best light in your home.
outdoors
During this session we will get that family photo for the wall in your living room or that updated Christmas card along with many candid moments. I have a list of shots I typically like to get but you may see me randomly start taking pictures of your child who is smelling the flowers, or of mom, who just can't get enough of those sweet hugs.

maternity
Congrats! What a journey you are entering! Maternity sessions can be just Mom or the whole family. I typically like to shoot around 34-36 weeks. I recommend booking your session a month or two in advance so we can be sure to book in that window.
in home newborn
What a special time it is to finally bring your baby home. I prefer to shoot this session when baby is 3-14 days old. Babies sleep best and allow us to be more flexible with poses during this time. We will start off, capturing natural shots of baby with parents and siblings. If there is a nursery I will capture the details of your hard work. Props and wraps I will bring upon request.
one year
I'm sure this first year has just flown by. Your sweet one year old is doing so many things, so what better way to remember it than by freezing those memories. This one year session will take place in home, where your baby is most comfortable. This is where your babies favorite toys are and where you share all your first memories with your child. So lets freeze those memories where they all began.

senior
Could this not be a more exciting time in your life?! The last year in high school and soon getting to spread your wings and start a life on your own. This session is customized to each senior based on what reflects their high school years. We can go to 1-2 locations (travel is included in time of session) and up to 3 outfit changes. Props are clients responsibility to bring.

FAQ's
when do I make a payment?
Your non refundable retainer of $100 is due at booking and the remaining of your payment will be due day of your session.
how far out should I book my session?
At least one to two months is recommended but I will occationally have some last minute spots available. Always worth a check.
are pets aloud?
Yes, totally!! I just ask that there is a safe place to put them when we are shooting you speparate from the animals. bringing a friend or family member helps.
how many people can be in my session?
I allow up to 5 people to be included in your session. Any person after 5 will be charged $10 per person.
do you have gift certificates?
I do! when you purchase a gift certificate it will be good for one year. If my prices go up on a session you will be responsible for the remainder of the difference.
how do i book?
Simply just email or message me on social media. From there we will get an idea what session is most fitting for what you are wanting? Please have a date in mind that you would like to book.
